Given all the main tourist attractions are in the city centre – this is where it’s recommended you stay. The closer you can stay to the town centre, the less walking you and the kids will need to do.

Carters Cottage is a gorgeous stone cottage with rustic elements elevated by contemporary living. It is a few minutes walk to the town centre, but you will feel a world away.
The 2 bedrooms can sleep a family of 4 in a double bed in each room, so whilst the kids need to share, there is loads of space to spread out during the day when not sleeping. 5 kilometres from the centre of town, Church Cottage Barn is a 1 bedroom apartment situated on private land with a lovely garden.
The sleeping arrangements can fit a family of 4 with a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The living room has a dining table and desk, making it a bit of a squeeze, but you are compensated with the large outdoor area, which is perfect for meals and the kids to run around in.

The Drey Ash Farm is a simple and basic 2 bedroom house, 4.5 kilometres from the city centre. As it’s further out from town, you’ll need to drive in, so you’ll be pleased to know free on site parking is included.
