Located at the family friendly Thunderbird Park, this is the perfect place for families looking for Mt Tamborine camping and caravan sites. The campsite is surrounded by subtropical rainforest and provides plenty of modern facilities to ensure you enjoy your stay. If you’re not the camping type of family, they also offer lovely bush lodges too.
Thunderbird Park offers both powered and unpowered camping and caravan sites of varying sizes. The campgrounds have an excellent brand new camp kitchen which includes table and chairs, BBQs, sinks, microwaves, kettles and toasters. There are also multiple modern shower blocks as well as laundry facilities available. The lodges available are two bedrooms and are fully self contained, making them just perfect for families.
Nearby, of course, you have access to all the excellent attractions at Thunderbird Park. Other on site facilities include rock pools for swimming, the ability to have campfires (subject to any fire bans), a restaurant, bar, kiosk and it’s also a short walk to Cedar Creek Falls.
Families could easily stay here for a week or more with all the awesome Thunderbird Park activities and still not get bored!

The location and being right there to enjoy all the excellent attractions at Thunderbird Park.
What’s not to love?
When it comes to camping – it’s a little bit pricey – but you’re paying for the gorgeous rainforest setting and it’s still among some cheapest accommodation in this guide.
