Accommodation Options at Accommodation Creek

Accommodation Creek Cottages and Sundown Suites is a small boutique style of accommodation with the choice of three cottages (2 x 1 bedroom and 1 x 2 bedroom) and two suites.  Below is a brief overview of each accommodation option so you can choose one to suit your family’s needs.

Jasmine and Rose Cottage

For small families on a budget, you can’t go past the one bedroom cottages – perfectly named Jasmine and Rose.  These cottages are similarly furnished and have one bedroom, with a pull out sofa for the kids.

These one bedroom cottages are fully self contained with a kitchen, cooking facilities and a BBQ outside.  They feature a living area with a TV, fireplace and a pull out sofa bed for the kids.  The bathrooms are spacious, as is the bedroom, which has a queen sized bed.

Outside, the cottages have a private yard with a BBQ and a small verandah with a table and chairs.  Out here, you have views across the bushland to the neighbouring dam.

The cottages are well spread out, although it is just a short minute or walk between them, so great for families travelling together.  But also far enough away from each other to maximise your privacy.

Each cottage also comes with complimentary port and chocolate!

Camellia Cottage

For larger families or those wanting their space, the Camellia Cottage is a perfect choice.  This is a two bedroom cottage with each bedroom coming with a queen sized bed and a pull out sofa bed for additional children.

Like the one bedroom cottages, the Camellia Cottage is also fully self contained, featuring a kitchen with cooking facilities and a BBQ outside.  The living area has a TV, fireplace and super comfortable lounge.  You’ve also got two bathrooms so that no one will be fighting over the shower.

The Camellia Cottage also has a lovely private yard with a BBQ, with views of the bushland and neighbouring dam.  There is also a spacious veranda for relaxing with local wine in hand. And of course, you’ll also receive complimentary port and chocolate, too!

The Camellia Cottage is just a short walk from the Jasmine and Rose cottages.

Sundown View Suites

The Sundown View Suites are connected to the main homestead on the property, yet with their own private entrances.  There are two suites on offer, both providing lovely views out across the property’s gardens.

Each suite features a king bed with a lounge for two, an ensuite, TV and tea and coffee making facilities.  Outside each suite is a table and chairs for relaxing while enjoying the views across the expansive property.  You also have access to a shared outdoor kitchen which features a microwave, hot plate and grill.

Facilities at Accommodation Creek

While Accommodation Creek is perfect for families travelling alone, it’s also an excellent choice for families travelling with others, thanks to the communal kitchen in the property’s gardens.  Here you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen and bar and a great big campfire surrounded by tables and chairs.

This area is just ideal for families to get together at the end of the day and share a meal, while the kids run around on the expansive lawns. However, if you’re not too keen on catering for yourself, contact owners Bevan and Jayne and they’ll help you arrange a local cater to take care of it all for you.

Another thing you and the kids might be interested in is the small dam on the property.  You can kayak here or simply take your wine and nibbles down there to enjoy in the undercover area complete with tables and chairs.

Accommodation Creek – Our Verdict

My stay at Accommodation Creek was only brief, but I absolutely loved it!  It is incredibly private, with only five cottages and suites on site and each quite a distance from one another.  You could easily not see another person during your stay, particularly as there is no formal check in, as a security code will be provided to you before arrival.

While I highly recommend this location for families, I’d also recommend it for a couple of families travelling together.  The communal garden area is fantastic for families to get together and cook up a storm, while enjoying drinks around the fire pit as the kids run around the huge grassy area.  Oh, and did I mention all the kangaroos!

Even if you didn’t use the communal area, each of the cottages has its own private yard, so families could get together here and make use of the BBQ located out the back of each cottage.
