Coolum Beach Holiday Rentals– Where to Stay?
The good thing about deciding where to stay in Coolum is that the area is not overly big. Coolum is basically one long stretch of beach and then a few other smaller beaches, which are broken up by rocky headlands. You can easily walk from one end of Coolum to the other.
Coolum Main beach is located around the Coolum Surf Club and the beach stretches north for around 2km. The northern part of the main beach is backed by a large reserve and is also where you can find Coolum caravan park accommodation – which provides absolute beachfront spots. Along the road (David Low Way) off Coolum Main Beach, you will find a stack of shops, restaurants and cafes as well as a range of accommodation options.
Further south of Coolum Main Beach you will find First Bay, Second Bay and Third Bay – each of which are small beaches separated by a rocky headland. These beaches are not patrolled though so not recommended for swimming.
The most central area to stay is somewhere close to the caravan park along Coolum Main Beach. This is where you will find the largest concentration of shops and places to eat as well as a playground for the kids.

This holiday rental Coolum Beach offers include two bedroom family apartments, that sleep up to four people in a double bed and two singles. Each of these Coolum holiday apartments has two bathrooms, so no need to share with the kids and one even has a bath so it’s perfect for families with little ones. There is an open plan living/dining area, a fully stocked kitchen, including a dishwasher and oven, laundry facilities and a balcony. Apartments also feature free WiFi and air conditioning throughout.
The resort has a great outdoor, heated pool with a small cascading waterfall and hidden cave behind, as well as a small waterslide for the kids. This holiday accommodation Coolum Beach offers are Mediterranean style two bedroom apartments that can sleep a maximum of 4 guests in a double bed and two single beds. Every apartment has a fully stocked kitchen, including a dishwasher, a balcony or patio and laundry facilities within the bathroom. Apartments also feature air conditioning throughout, free WiFi and have plenty of space to relax.

For families after a Coolum apartment accommodation which is directly opposite the main beach then consider the Coolum Caprice. You’ll even be able to enjoy dinner on your private balcony with beach views!
The Coolum Caprice holiday apartments come with the choice of two or three bedroom apartments. The two bedroom apartments can fit a family of 4 on two single beds and one double but there are also 3 bedroom apartments for larger families. Every apartment is air-conditioned, has a private balcony with ocean views, are fully self-contained and have open-plan living and dining areas as well as a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.
The resort facilities include a heated outdoor pool and spa, sauna, fitness centre and a games room where the kids can enjoy video games or billiards. There are also barbeque areas located in the surrounding tropical gardens and guests have access to free on-site parking.

Surf Dance Apartments
Family apartments at Surf Dance are modern and comfortable and in a quiet location just one street back from the beach.
Two bedroom apartments at Surf Dance are air-conditioned and fit up to 4 guests in two single beds and one double bed. All apartments are self-contained with a private balcony overlooking the beach. They have laundry facilities, air conditioning, a full kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, a separate living room with a flat-screen TV and a bathroom with a bathtub.
The resort itself has a small outdoor heated pool and BBQ areas for guests to prepare and eat meals outside. There is also free WiFi throughout the resort (including in apartments) and free parking is available on site to guests.

Clubb Coolum Beach Resort
Clubb Coolum offers spacious self-contained apartments opposite the beach with ocean views and great facilities on-site.
These large two bedroom air-conditioned units can comfortably sleep four guests in one double bed and two single beds. Apartments feature a full kitchen with dishwasher and oven, laundry facilities and a large living/dining area with flat screen TV. All of the apartments also have a private balcony with ocean views.
The resort facilities are really good too, with an outdoor swimming pool with heated spa, full-size tennis court, BBQ facilities, games room, golf putting green and fitness centre. The on-site restaurant, Bombay Bliss, specialises in Thai cuisine and there is free secure underground car parking provided.

Pandanus Coolum Beach
Families who would prefer to be away from the busier main beach and spend time at First Bay lookout and beach should consider a stay at Pandanus Coolum.
Family accommodation is in the form of two bedroom apartments and sleeps 4 guests on two single beds and one double bed but there is the option to add an extra bed (at a cost) to fit 5 guests. Every air-conditioned apartment features a full kitchen, with a dishwasher, two bathrooms, laundry facilities and a private balcony or terrace with outdoor furniture and ocean views.
The hotel facilities include a covered gas BBQ area and an outdoor lagoon-style heated pool and spa as well as free parking on-site for guests and free wifi throughout.

Coolum at the Beach
These self-contained apartments at Coolum at the Beach are modern and well furnished and the resort offers some great facilities.
Budget family accommodation is provided in two bedroom apartments, which can sleep up to four guests in a large double bed and two single beds. Each apartment has two bathrooms, open plan living/dining area, which features a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven and a private balcony or terrace. All apartments also feature air conditioning throughout and free WiFi.
For larger families or those with a bigger budget there are some great tropical villas with extra special touches like private BBQs and outdoor spas. A great treat if you are a large group looking to celebrate a special occasion!
The hotel boasts a total of 4 swimming pools (children’s pool, heated lap pool, ocean pool and a heated resort pool) so there is something for everyone. There is also a gym and a poolside BBQ area for guests to enjoy and free on site parking is available to all.

Seachange Coolum Beach
Seachange Coolum offers some lovely self-contained apartments opposite the beach in a quieter area of the town away from the busier main street.
These self-contained apartments have two bedrooms with one double bed and two singles although an extra bed can be added (at a cost) to create room for 5 guests. Every apartment features a private balcony, air-conditioning, laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and two bathrooms. Each apartment comes with an open plan living and dining area, satellite TV and some also have ocean views.
The hotel facilities include a BBQ and dining area and two outdoor heated swimming pools, one with a shallow walk in area perfect for little ones and the other with a spa section. Free on-site parking is available to all guests.

Great self-contained accommodation for larger families and groups at Coolum Beach Getaway Resort, with plenty of space so you won’t feel like you’re on top of each other.
These self-contained family townhouse / apartments can sleep up to 6 guests in 4 single beds and a large double bed. Every apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry facilities, and a private balcony overlooking the courtyard. Accommodation features air conditioning throughout, free WiFi, Foxtel TV and a DVD player.

Coolum Beach Holiday Park
If you’re looking for budget accommodation in Coolum, the holiday park is right on the beach and a great spot for families who plan on spending most days exploring the area rather than inside.
One bedroom villas can fit up to 4 guests in a queen bed and one set of single bunk beds. Two bedroom villas at Coolum beach holiday park can fit up to 6 guests in one queen size bed and two sets of single bunk beds. All villas feature a small kitchenette with a hob and microwave and an open plan living-dining area. The villas are compact but set out well and a great budget option for larger families who would usually have to pay a much higher price.
Facilities at the holiday park are limited but there are BBQ areas if you prefer to cook and dine outside and the direct beach access means a play in the surf is just minutes away.
